Who we are
About Us
Verdant Vessels is a student-led nonprofit business committed to sustainability and fighting food insecurity. By using sustanible resources for our products, we not only actively reduce waste of precious resources but also contribute to a greater cause, which is supporting NMU Food Bank.
The NMU Food Bank, led by Breann Wallrapp, provides essential food and household items to those in need, ensuring that students can focus on their education without the added stress of hunger or poor living conditions. Food insecurity affects nearly 30% of college students, impacting their health, academic performance, and overall well-being. By donating our proceeds, Verdant Vessels helps keep the pantry stocked and accessible year-round.
Our team is passionate about creating real change. Evan Geelhoed manages inventory to maintain efficient operations, Jack Henry Smith leads marketing to expand our outreach, Adam Hop oversees logistics and daily functions, Charlie Stilling bridges operations and marketing, and Kyan Hopke directs sales to sustain and grow our impact.
At Verdant Vessels, we believe in students helping students. Every purchase supports both sustainability and the fight against food insecurity, ensuring that no one in the NMU community has to struggle alone.
